    Cabbage Roll Casserole, w/sauerkraut, easy

    4 cups shredded cabbage
    1 1/2 pounds ground pork
    1/2 cup uncooked rice
    3 Tablespoons instant minced onion
    1 1/2 teaspoons salt
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
    1/2 teaspoon paprika
    1/8 teaspoon garlic salt
    8 or 16 ounce can sauerkraut, drained
    6 ounce can tomato paste
    2 cups water
    optional topping:
    ...1 cup dairy sour cream
    ...1 can refrigerated rolls
    ...chopped parsley

    Spread cabbage in a casserole dish.
    Mix pork, rice, onion, salt, pepper, paprika and garlic salt
    together. Place on top of cabbage.
    Spread sauerkraut over top.
    Mix tomato paste and water together and pour over top.
    Cover and bake at 300 degrees F. for 1 1/2 hours, or until
    rice is tender.
    Remove from oven.
    for the optional topping:
    Set oven temperature at 400 degrees F.
    Spread sour cream on top of casserole.
    Place rolls on top of sour cream.
    Sprinkle with parsley.
    Bake at 400 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes.
    Makes 6 - 8 servings.
