Dried Chipped - Beef + Au Gratin Pasta Casserole
4 ounces canned mushrooms, drained
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup grated sharp Cheddar cheese
1, 2 ounce jar pimientos, chopped
9 ounces dried chipped beef, sliced into strips
8 ounces penne pasta, cooked al dente to package

salt and pepper to taste
fine dry bread crumbs
Cook mushrooms in butter 5 minutes; blend in flour.
Gradually add milk and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Add cheese; stir until cheese is melted, then add pimientos, dried
beef and pasta.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Pour pasta mixture into baking dish.
Sprinkle with bread crumbs and bake in at 350 degrees F. for
30 minutes.
Serves 4.
