    Dumpling Casserole

    1 1/2 pounds ground sausage or chicken or turkey
    1 medium chopped onion
    1, 10 3/4 ounce can Cheddar cheese soup
    1, 8 ounce can tomato sauce
    1/4 tsp garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
    5 cups uncooked dumpling noodles, (8 ounces,
    ...may use Gnocchi)
    2 cups spaghetti sauce
    1, 4 ounce can mushroom pieces, optional
    1/4 tsp. ground thyme
    2 cups shredded Monteray Jack, or Chedder or Colby
    ...cheese, (8 ounces)

    Cook dumpling noodles al dente to package directions.
    Drain and rinse with cool water. Place in large bowl.
    Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
    In large skillet on medium/high heat, brown meat and onion.
    Drain, if necessary. Stir in remaining ingredients, except for
    cheese and dumpling noodles. Simmer 3 to 4 minutes.
    Mix turkey mixture with dumpling noodles. Mix well.
    Pour into an ungreased 13x9x2 inch baking dish. Cover. Bake
    for 30 - 40 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Uncover.
    Sprinkle with cheese. Bake 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
