(This recipe is good with chicken, turkey or
tuna, omit ham.)
Ham Macaroni Casserole
1 c. elbow pasta
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/3 c. chopped celery
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 1/4 c. milk
1, 10 3/4 ounce can cream of chicken soup
1 1/2 c. diced ham
Cook macaroni al dente to package directions. Drain.
Cook onion and celery in butter until tender, about 10 minutes.
Add flour and blend.
Add milk and cook over low heat, until thick, stirring constantly.
Stir in soup.
Add remaining ingredients.
Pour into greased 1 1/2 quart casserole.
Garnish with almonds, if desired.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
