    I'm making this one tonight, 11/5/08. Will let you know how it turned out. This was nice and creamy with a good flavor. Ham Noodle Casserole #4*, w/cheese

    2 cups Farfalle (bow tie) pasta, (8ounces),
    ...cooked al dente to package directions
    1/4 cup butter
    1 minced garlic clove
    1/4 cup flour
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
    2 cups milk
    1/2 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
    2 1/2 cups shredded Colby cheese
    1 cup frozen peas
    1/2 pound sliced cooked ham, cut into strips
    1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

    Heat the oven to 350.
    Coat a 2 quart baking dish with non stick cooking spray.
    Melt the butter in a 3 quart saucepan over a low heat.
    Saute the garlic in the butter for 30 seconds.
    Whisk in the flour, salt and pepper.
    Cook over a medium heat, stirring constantly, until the
    mixture is smooth and bubbly. Gradually stir in the milk.
    Heat to a boiling, stirring constantly; boil and stir for
    1 minute.
    Stir in mustard, Colby cheese and peas. Cook, stirring
    occasionally, until the cheese is melted.
    Stir the pasta and ham into the cheese sauce.
    Pour into the baking dish.
    Sprinkle the top with the Parmesan cheese.
    Bake, uncovered, for 20 - 25 minutes or until bubbly.
    Makes 6 servings.
