    Ham + Cheese Bowtie Casserole

    2 c. bow tie pasta, (8oz.),
    ...cooked al dente to pkg. directions
    1/4 c. butter
    1 minced garlic clove
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. prepared yellow mustard
    2 1/2 c. shredded Colby cheese
    4 ounces sliced cooked ham, cut into strips
    1/4 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese

    Heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 2 quart baking dish
    cooking spray.
    Melt the butter in a 3 quart saucepan over a low heat.
    Saute the garlic in the butter for 30 seconds.
    Whisk in the flour, salt and pepper.
    Cook over a medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture
    is smooth and bubbly. Gradually stir in the milk.
    Heat to a boil, stirring constantly; boil and stir for 1 minute.
    Stir in mustard and cheese, and cook, stirring occasionally,
    until the cheese is melted.
    Stir the pasta and ham into the cheese sauce.
    Pour into the baking dish.
    Sprinkle the top with the Parmesan cheese.
    Bake, uncovered, for 20 - 25 minutes or until bubbly.
    Makes 6 servings.
