Also called Wash Day Casserole.
Hamburger Bacon Pasta Casserole
3 pounds ground beef
3 onions, sliced
3 cups sliced potatoes
3 cups sliced celery
3 cups cooked al dente spaghetti pasta
2, 10 3/4 ounce cans cream of celery or mushroom soup
9 slices bacon
1 quart tomato juice
1 pound shredded Cheddar cheese
Brown beef and onions; drain and pour into a casserole dish.
Layer the potatoes, celery and spaghetti.
Pour the soup over the mixture.
Fry the bacon and cut into small pieces and put on top.
Pour tomato juice over the bacon and sprinkle the cheese.
Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 1 1/2 hours.
