    The blend of meat and marmalade and oranges gives it a really special taste and it is easy to make.

    List of Ingredients




    1lb. lean cubed beef, lamb or pork
    1 tbsp. oil
    1 chopped onion
    1 c. stock
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon.
    1 tsp. dried thyme.
    salt and black pepper
    1 tbsp. cornstarch or cornflour
    1/2 c. orange juice
    3 tbsp. orange marmalade
    1 medium sliced orange
    8 baby onions (shallots if you can get them)
    1/2 c. bread crumbs
    1/4 c. butter

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350.
    Heat oil in a large frying pan.
    Brown the meat and onions together in the pan.
    Stir in the stock and the spices.
    Mix the cornstarch with the orange juice and add to cooking meat, along with the marmalade.
    Season to taste with the salt and pepper, then add the orange slices and baby onions.
    Transfer to a casserole dish.
    Sprinkle with the bread crumbs and dot with butter.
    Bake for 1 hour.
    Makes 4 servings.
