    Spanish Chicken Casserole

    1 onion chopped
    1 clove garlic
    1 can tomato soup
    2 cans chopped green chilies
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 dozen tortillas quartered
    1 lb. Monterey jack cheese grated
    1 chicken cooked and deboned and chopped

    Sauté onion and garlic in small amount of oil.
    Add soup, chilies, and salt and pepper. Set sauce aside.
    Butter a shallow baking dish and arrange in alternate layers
    beginning with tortillas, chicken, cheese and sauce.
    Have a final topping of cheese as last layer.
    Bake at 325º for 30 minutes.
    Top with sour cream and guacamole if desired.
