Cabbage Relish

2 medium tomatoes, cut into 4
1/4 small head coarsely chopped green cabbage
1 large coarsely chopped onion
1 cup red wine vinegar
1/2 cup Plus 2 Tablespoons white granulated sugar
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
3/4 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 generous teaspoon celery seeds
1/4 generous teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 generous teaspoon ground cinnamon
Finely chop tomato, cabbage and onion in food processor.
Bring all remaining ingredients to boil in medium size
heavy saucepan.
Add chopped vegetables. Reduce heat and simmer until
vegetables are tender, about 15 minutes,stirring
occasionally. Mixture will be thin.
Let cool. Then cover and refrigerate until well chilled.
Drain before serving.
Makes 4 servings.
May be prepared 5 days ahead.
