    These are the best sweet pickles ever.
    This recipe makes pickles more crisp than any other
    I have found. They are delicious in Tuna Salad,
    Macaroni & Green Pea Salad, Potato Salad made with
    mayo (I use sour pickles with mustard) etc.

    Icicle Pickles

    2 gals. cucumber sliced
    soak in 2 C. lime and water to cover cucumbers for 24 hrs.
    Pour off and soak in clean water 2 hrs.
    Simmer 2 hrs. in
    3 qts vinegar
    8 C. sugar
    1/2 box pickling spice
    Ladle into jars and seal.

    I usually make at least one recipe using grated cucumbers. This way I don't
    have to chop pickles when I am making salads.
