This is about the way we made ours at home, except, we made it in quart jars!
Sauerkraut #3, easy
for each pint jar:
shredded cabbage
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon white granulated sugar
1 teaspoon white vinegar
distilled water
Pack cabbage as much as you can get into jar.
Add salt, sugar and vinegar. Add the distilled water.
Remove bubbles. Cap jars.
Will be ready in about 3-4 weeks.
Keep an eye on them while fermenting.
