refrigerator - Marinated Cucumbers + Onions

1 1/2 c Cucumber; sliced paper thin
1/2 c Onion; sliced paper thin
1/3 c Vinegar
5 tb Water
1/4 ts Salt
1 ds Pepper
15/16 c Sugar

Layer cucumber and onion in a jar or bowl. Combine
remaining ingredients and pour over top. Chill overnight,
turning jar or stirring several times. Makes 8 servings.
