    Navy Bistro's - Broccoli Salad

    4 cups broccoli florets
    1 small red onion, chopped or cut into thin wedges (1/2 cup)
    1 cup cubed cheddar or smoked cheddar cheese (4 ounces)
    5 slices bacon, crisp-cooked, drained and crumbled
    1/2 cup mayonnaise or light mayonnaise dressing
    1/4 cup bottled coleslaw or buttermilk ranch salad dressing
    2 tablespoons vinegar
    1 tablespoon sugar

    In a large salad bowl, combine broccoli, onion, cheese, and bacon.

    For dressing: In a small bowl, stir together mayonnaise, coleslaw
    dressing, vinegar, and sugar. Pour over broccoli mixture; toss to coat.
    Serve immediately or cover and chill up to 2 hours.
    Makes 6 side-dish servings.
