    Source of Recipe

    from nancy's kitchen

    List of Ingredients

    1 1/2 lbs. beef roast
    3 diced carrots
    2 diced stalks celery
1 thinly sliced green bell pepper
1 sliced yellow onion, separated into rings
3 med. peeled potatoes, cut into 1/4's
    1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
    2 minced garlic cloves
1/2 pkg. dry onion soup mix
    1 tsp. mild steak sauce
    2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 c. beef bouillon or water
    1/2 c. tomato juice

    Recipe

Cut beef roast into pieces sized for serving portions.
Use more beef if you need more than 6 servings.
Brown the beef in a bit of oil. Set aside.
Place the onion, carrots, celery, pepper and potatoes into bottom of crockpot/slow cooker.
Mix the ground pepper, garlic and soup mix together and sprinkle onto the beef.
Place the beef on top of the vegetables in the crockpot.
Mix together the steak sauce, Worcestershire sauce, the bouillon and tomato juice in a small bowl.
Pour over the meat in the crockpot.
Cover, and cook on high for 30 minutes.
Then cook on low for 8 hours.
    Makes 6 servings.

When serving: take the meat and vegetables out with a slotted spoon.
Use the juices as they are, or turn crockpot up to high and thicken with a little flour or cornstarch.
