    DressingSalad - Red French Dressing

    Comments: The miracle is that this delicious dressing is fat free and willnot use up your fat exchanges. Try it as a marinade for flank steak beforegrilling.Note: Low sodium diets: Omit salt and use unsalted tomato juice.

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 teaspoon granulated gelatin
    1 tablespoon cold water
    1/4 cup boiling water
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup tomato juice
    1/4 cup white vinegar
    1/8 teaspoon garlic powder, or
    ...1 crushed garlic clove
    1 dash freshly ground black pepper
    1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
    1/2 Teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    sugar substitute equal to 1 tablespoon regular sugar

    Recipe

    Soften gelatin in cold water. Add boiling water; stir until dissolved. Turn
    into a pint size jar with all the remaining ingredients.
    Cover tightly; shake thoroughly.
    Chill for a few hours before serving.
    Stir occasionally to prevent gelling at bottom.
    Shake gently before using.
    Makes 8 servings.
