    PiePastry - Apple Cobbler #2

    List of Ingredients

    4 c. medium sized cooking apples, cut into 1/2" slices
    ...or 1 3/4 lb. (like Jonathans or Wealthies)
    1 1/2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
    1 tbsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt, divided in half
    4 tbsp. Splenda sugar substitute
    1/2 c. flour
    3 tbsp. I can't believe its not butter light
    a light non stick cooking spray

    Recipe

    Sprinkle sliced apples with the lemon juice, stir and set aside.
    Preheat oven to 425. Spray inside of an 8x8x2" pan with light cooking spray.
    Combine cornstarch, cinnamon, 1/8 tsp. of the salt, and the sugar subsitute; and mix thoroughly. Add to the apples and stir lightly to coat all slices.
    Spread apples evenly in pan and set aside.
    Mix together flour and the remaining 1/8 tsp. salt. Cut the butter light spread into the flour mix until crumbly.
    Sprinkle over top of the apples.
    Bake about 35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
    Serve warm.
    Makes 8 servings.
