    SpreadTopping - Apple + Plum Jelly

    4 large sliced tart apples, (Granny Smith are best)
    1, 12 ounce package pitted prunes,
    ...(you know prunes are just dried plums!)
    1 cup unsweetened apple juice
    1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon allspice
    1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

    Combine the apples, prunes, apple juice, cinnamon and
    allspice in a large saucepan and heat to boiling.
    Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
    Uncover and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until most
    of the liquid is absorbed and the fruit is tender.
    Remove from the stove and add the lemon juice.
    Pour into blender/processor and puree until smooth.
    When cool, pour into a container that has a lid.
    Refrigerate for almost 3 weeks.
    May be served warm or cold.
    Makes 64 servings of 1 tablespoon each.
