    Leek Dip

    3/4 cup chopped leeks
    1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
    1 cup creamy salad dressing (Miracle Whip)
    1 tablespoon white vinegar
    1 tablespoon white sugar
    1/2 (12 ounce) jar bacon bits
    salt and pepper to taste

    Cut off bottom of stalk of leeks. Separate and rinse well as they grow
    in sandy soil. Chop finely using both white and green parts. In a
    medium bowl, mix together the leeks, cream cheese, creamy salad
    dressing, vinegar, sugar, bacon bits, salt and pepper. Refrigerate 2 to
    3 hours, until well chilled. Makes 2-1/2 cups.
