Spinach Bread Bowl Dip #2
1 c. sour cream
1 4oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. Miracle Whip salad dressing
1 packet Good Seasons ranch salad dressing mix
1 10oz. pkg. chopped spinach, thawed, and squeeze dried
1 can chopped water chestnuts, drained, optional
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
1 loaf round bread, sourdough, rye, pumpernickel, your choice
Mix sour cream, cream cheese together.
Add the Miracle Whip and the dry ranch mix and stir until well blended.
Add thoroughly drained spinach, water chestnuts and bell pepper. Mix well.
Refrigerate.
Slice the top from the loaf of bread.
Remove the bread from the center of the loaf, leaving a 1" thick shell.
Cut removed bread into bite size pieces.
Spoon the dip into the bread loaf just before serving.
Place on a platter with the broken bread pieces around the bottom of the loaf of bread.
