    Bacon + Egg Breakfast Cookies

    1 1/4 cups flour
    2/3 cup brown sugar
    1/2 cup Grape-Nuts cereal
    1/2 pound bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
    ...or 1/2 c. artificial bacon bits
    1/2 cup melted shortening
    1 egg, beaten
    2 Tablespoons frozen orange juice concentrate, undiluted
    1 Tablespoon grated orange peel

    Mix flour, sugar, Grape-Nuts and bacontogether.
    Add remaining ingredients and blend well.
    Drop by tablespoonfuls onto baking sheet (ungreased if using
    real bacon, greased otherwise).
    Bake at 350 degrees F. for 10 to 12 minutes or until cookies
    are light brown.
