    Recipe Introduction

This makes a great sweet bread for breakfast or for brunch.
It is also a way to use up any leftover bread you may
have that may be getting stale/old.

    List of Ingredients

    Pudding Bread

    1 cup sugar
    10 slices white bread,
...(or any kind of leftover bread, even croissants
    4 eggs
1/3 cup rum, optional, (or try )
    1 cups milk
    1/3 lb butter
    1 cup walnuts

First tear up bread slices in large bowl. Add sugar, milk, vanilla, and rum.
Mix eggs and add to mixture. Chop nuts coarsely. You can add raisins if you
want. Let this mixture soak awhile.
Grease a large bread pan, or tube pan. Add mixture and dot with butter. Bake
at 350 for 45 minutes, then check for doneness. It should still be springy
and soft, not too well done. Let cool slightly and remove from pan and slice
when it is firm enough to slice. Serve warm or cold with powdered sugar
    sprinkled on if you like.
You can make a rum sauce from a little butter, powdered sugar, and rum
cooked till melted and drizzled over it too!
    Makes 8 servings.
Total preparation time: 1 1/2 hour
    Serves: 8
