    Mexican HotDogs, w/corn tortillas

    10 corn tortillas
    1 package hot dogs
    sharp Cheddar cheese cut into strips
    chopped onions (optional)
    toothpicks to hold together
    oil for deep frying

    Split the hot dogs most but not all the way through
    lengthwise.
    Stuff the cut with strips of cheese and onion.
    (The tortillas are easier to handle if microwaved, 2 at
    a time for about 15 seconds.)
    Wrap in corn tortilla. Use toothpick to hold together.
    Deep fry until tortilla is hard and hot dog is dark brown.
    Some of the cheese and onions will come out of the ends.
    That is normal, just skim it off the oil and toss out.
    Serve warm with guacamole or salsa, or any dip you prefer.
