    This recipe is definitely for true garlic lovers! Originally from The Stinking Rose Restaurant in San Francisco.

    List of Ingredients




    3 c. whole milk
    1/2 tsp. finely chopped garlic
    1 vanilla bean, split in half
    1 c. heavy cream
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    9 egg yolks

    Recipe



    Place the milk, garlic and vanilla in a saucepan.
    Bring to a boil and then remove from the heat. Set aside.
    Blend the cream, sugar, and egg yolks in a mixing bowl.
    Strain the milk into the egg/sugar mixture, whisking constantly.
    Return the mixture to the pan and stir continuously over a moderate heat until it coats the back of a spoon, about 10 - 15 minutes.
    Cool in an ice bath and freeze until firm.
    Makes 4 - 6 servings.
