    Chocolate Revel Bars (60)

    1 cup butter, (2 sticks), sofented
    2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    2 cups brown sugar
    2 eggs
    4 teasoons vanilla, divided
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    3 cups quick rolled oats
    1 1/2 cups semi sweet chocolate pieces
    1, 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk,
    ...(add regular milk if needed to make amount)
    1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional
    2 Tablespoons butter

    Beat 1 cup butter on medium/high speed for 30 seconds.
    Add half the flour, the brown sugar, eggs, 2 teaspoons
    of the vanilla, and the baking soda. Beat until thoroughly
    combined. Beat in remaining flour.
    Stir in oats and set aside.
    Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
    Get a 15x10x1 inch baking sheet out.

    In a medium saucepan, combine chocolate chips, milk
    and the 2 Tablespoons butter. Cook over low heat until
    chocolate melts, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
    Stir in nuts, if using and the other 2 teaspoons vanilla.

    Press 2/3 of the rolled oats mixture into the bottom
    of the ungreased baking pan sheet.
    Spread the chocolate mixture overtop of the oat mixture.
    Using your fingers, drop dots of remaining oat mixture
    over the chocolate.
    Bake at 350 about 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
    (Chocolate mixture will still look moist). Cool on
    wire rack, then cut.
    Makes 60 bars.
