    LowCarb - Bacon Cheeseburger Quiche

    List of Ingredients

    Low Carb - Bacon Cheeseburger Quiche

    1 pound very lean hamburger meat
    1 small chopped onion
    4 slices crisply cooked bacon, chopped into bits
    3 eggs
    1/2 cup mayonnaise
    1/2 cup half + half
    1, 8 ounce package shredded Cheddar or Swiss cheese
    3/4 teaspoon garlic powder, or to taste
    ground white pepper
    1 sliced tomato, optional

    Preheat oven to 350F. Need a deep dish pie plate.
    Brown the meat and onion together.
    Remove to a bowl.
    Stir in the bacon. Break up any large clumps until it is a fine mix.
    Drain well of any excess grease.
    Press into the bottom of the pie plate and set aside.
    Combine the remaining ingredients in a bowl and whip well.
    Pour over the beef crust.
    Place the tomato slices around the edge of the quiche.
    Bake for 40 - 45 minutes, or until top is browned and set.
    Let cool for 15 - 20 minutes before slicing.
    Makes 6 servings with approximately 2 gr of carb per serving.

    This refrigerated and reheated in the microwave for 3 - 5 days.
    This does not freeze well.
