    LowCarb - Clam + Bacon Dip

    Recipe Introduction

    This dip may be made the day before and chilled.

    List of Ingredients

    LowCarb - Clam + Bacon Dip

    8 slices chopped bacon
    2 6 1/2oz. cans minced clams
    1 8oz. container cream cheese, room temperature
    1/4 c. sour cream
    3 finely chopped scallions
    3/4 tsp. dried basil
    1 tsp. prepared horseradish, (not the sauce)
    1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    hot sauce to taste

    Cook the bacon over a medium heat until crisp. Drain on paper towels. Set aside.
    Drain clams, and reserve the juice.
    In a large bowl, whisk together cream cheese and sour cream.
    Stir 2 tbsp. of the reserved clam juice into the cream cheese mixture along with the bacon, clams, and the remaining ingredients.
    Blend well and serve at room temperature.
    Makes about 2 cups.
