    LowFat - Apple Crisp

    Apple Crisp

    4 c. thinly sliced tart apples
    3 tbsp. packed light brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1/2 c. unbleached flour
    1/3 c. white granulated sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
    2 tbsp. fat free egg substitute
    1 c. non fat vanilla frozen yogurt ice cream

    Preheat oven to 400. Coat an 8x8x2 inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
    Mix the brown sugar and nutmeg together.
    Toss the apples in the brown sugar mixture and toss to coat.
    Spread the apples evenly over the bottom of the dish.
    Mix the flour, white sugar, baking powder and cinnamon in a bowl.
    Add the egg substitute and mix with a fork until crumbly.
    Sprinkle the crumbs evenly over apples.
    Bake until the apples are tender and topping is browned, about 30 minutes.
    Serve warm with frozen yogurt ice cream.
