    Shell Meatball Casserole

    1 1/2 pounds seashell macaroni
    1 teaspoon salt
    2 pounds ground beef
    1/2 pound sausage
    1/4 pound butter
    1 pound mushroom
    1 cup onion, chopped
    1 cup green bell pepper, chopped
    1 cup red bell pepper, chopped
    1 celery rib, diced
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    2 cans tomato soup
    1 cup half and half
    4 fluid ounces Parmesan cheese, grated

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
    Cook seashell macaroni in boiling water with salt until the pasta is tender; drain and set aside.
    In a large bowl mix together ground beef and sausage and form into 1" diameter balls.
    In a skillet, brown the meat balls in butter; remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
    After meat has all been cooked, in the same pan saute mushrooms then add chopped onion,
    chopped green bell pepper, chopped red bell peppers, and diced celery rib in just enough
    water to cover. Simmer until just tender.
    Mix in a large casserole dish the macaroni and vegetables (including liquid). Stir in undiluted tomato soup and half and half. Carefully stir in the meatballs. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top and bake for 30 minutes.
