Chocolate Cookie Muffins

1 3/4 cups flour
1/2 cup granulated white sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup sour cream
1 lightly beaten egg
1/4 cup melted butter
20 coarsely chopped semi sweet chocolate sandwich cookies,
...(like the oreo brand)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Grease a muffin tin that each cup is 2 1/2 inches.
Use a medium bowl to stir together the flour, sugar, baking
powder, and salt. Set aside.
Use a small bowl to combine the milk, sour cream and egg.
Alternately stir the milk mixture into the flour mixture with
the butter until just blended.
Carefully stir in the cookies.
Fill the 12 muffin cups.
Bake for 20 - 25 minutes or until tester comes out clean.
Remove from the muffin tin to a wire rack to cool.
Eat as is or drizzle with vanilla icing. Good warm, or cold.
