    Recipe Introduction

    After going through the other Pasta Carbonara recipes I found and listed on here, I came up with this one. It was delicious! Pasta Carbonara #1, (pasta w/bacon), easy*

    8 ounces pasta of choice, (I used penne)
    6 slices bacon, cut into 1/2 inch pieces,
    ...(I added a couple more slices)
    3 Tablespoons chopped onion, (I just used a small one)
    2 Tablespoons butter
    6 Tablespoons Parmesan cheese
    1 beaten egg
    1 cup heavy cream
    1 Tablespoon dried parsley

    Cook pasta al dente to package directions. Meanwhile
    cook bacon in skillet. Saute onion in the bacon fat.
    Remove and set aside with bacon. Drain all but 1
    Tablespoon of fat. Quickly stir in butter, cheese and
    egg. Add cream and simmer on low heat for 3 minutes.
    Add drained pasta, bacon, onion and parsley. Toss to
    coat well.
    Serve immediately.
    Makes 2 servings. (I doubled this recipe)
