    Recipe Introduction

It seems most everyone likes apple pie..but there are too many in my family that do not like to eat the crust. So with this recipe, there is a sort of a crust, and it gets eaten as the apple juice saturates it. I have gotten compliments on this.

    List of Ingredients

16 granny smith apples, peeled, cored, sliced
    1/2 + 1/4 c. butter, separated, room temperature
    2 c. + 3/4 c. + 1 c. flour, separated
    2 tbsp. + 1 1/2 c. + 1/2 c. white sugar, separted
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon

    Recipe

Preheat oven to 350. Need 9x12x2 pan.
Put apples in super big bowl. Microwave for 10 minutes, stir, microwave for 10 more minutes and set aside.
Mix 1/2 c. butter, 2 c. flour, 2 tbsp. sugar, salt and baking powder into crumbs. Press onto bottom only of pan. Bake for 8 minutes.
Stir together 3/4 c. flour, 1 1/2 c. sugar and cinnamon. Mix with partially cooked apples, then pour onto crust.
Mix 1 c. flour and 1/2 c. sugar together, then add the 1/4 c. butter and mix to crumbs. Sprinkle over top of apples.
Bake 20 - 30 minutes, until apples are tender.
