    from the perfect donut maker recipe book
    that came with my perfect donut maker.
    It bakes instead of frying and came with 2
    pans and a icing decorating tube w/tips.

    donuts - Cheese, baked

    1 cup biscuit mixture
    1/2 cup Cheddar cheese, lightly packed
    1/2 cup milk
    1 beaten egg
    1 Tablespoon onion flakes, if desired
    2 Tablespoons bacon bits, if desired

    Heat oven to 325 degrees F.
    Stir all ingredients together until well blended.
    Pour batter into molds up to 2/3's full.
    Bake 5 minutes or until tops spring back when lightly touched.
    When donut pan is cool, wipe clean and repeat process for baking.
    Makes approximately 12 large donuts or 36 bite size donuts.

    Variations:
    -For a heartier donut use:
    2/3 cup of corn meal mixture
    and
    1/3 cup biscuit mixture instead of the full cup of biscuit mixture.
    -Substitute
    1 Tablespoon poppy seed, caraway see, or sesame seed
    for the onion flakes.
    -Omit onion and bacon and use:
    1/2 chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, almonds, etc).
