    Country Pork Supper

    Source of Recipe

    from Nancy
Years ago in my flower child incarnation, my cooking was inspired
equally by Julia Child's French Chef series on TV and Laurel Robertson's
classic vegetarian cookbook, Laurel's Kitchen. Go figure. Recently at
a used book sale, I found Laurel's Kitchen again and was delighted to
add it back to my cookbook collection. Now here's the funny part,
tucked in as a bookmark for Manybean Soup, was this recipe, which is
really quite tasty but hardly something Laurel would have advocated
    (BTW, I used Polish sausage):

    Country Pork Supper

Fry 6 slices bacon until crisp. Remove.
Slice and saute the following in bacon drippings until tender:
    4 large potatoes
    1 bunch broccoli
    3 carrots
    1 onion
Top with 1 pound smoked sausage.
    Heat 12 minutes covered.
    Garnish with crumbled bacon.
    Makes 4-6 servings.
