    Sausage In A Potato

    Source of Recipe

    ???
Sausage In A Potato (sausage stuffed potato)

4 potatoes, peeled or not, up to you
4 small linked sausage (breakfast size)
    butter
    salt
    pepper
garlic, or any other spice you like
onion slices, separated in rings so you
...have about 3 for each potato

Use an apple corer, or a clean chunk of 1/2 inch copper
pipe to tunnel down the middle of the spuds lengthwise.
(If you use the copper pipe, bang the pipe thru the
potato with a hammer, works quickly.)
Cut about an inch off both ends of the piece that you
just forced out of the potato, (the core)

Insert a sausage link through hole.
Plug sausage inside with the end pieces from what you
    just cut off the potato.
Rub butter all over the outside of the potatoes.
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic.
Place 3 onion rings on top and wrap in heavy duty foil.
Toss toss in coals, or place on grill. Cook until done.
    Makes 4 servings.

    These are really good.
(also called Deerfoot Spuds in some areas )
This is a good meal for camping.
