    Chocolate Bread Pudding

    1/4 cup white granulated sugar
    3 heaping tablespoons cocoa
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
    2 tablespoons melted butter
    1 slightly beaten egg
    2 cups scalded milk
    1 cup sliced small bagel, or bread cubes, (I prefer bagels)

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Butter well an 8x2x2 inch
    baking dish. Will also need a pan somewhat larger than the
    baking dish.
    Combine the sugar, cocoa, salt, vanilla, butter+egg together.
    Add the milk slowly, stirring gently, but constantly. Add the
    bagel and mix together thoroughly. Pour into the baking dish.
    Set in the pan and add 1 inch of warm/hot water to the pan.
    Bake for 1 hour, or until a knife inserted comes out clean.
    May be served with a white creamy or chocolate sauce.
