    Stovetop Rice Pudding

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 c. raw long grain rice
    4 c. milk, (1 quart)
    1/2 c. white granulated sugar, or to taste
    2 beaten egg yolks
    1 tbsp. vanilla

    Recipe

    Mix the rice and milk together in a medium saucepan.
    Cook over a medium heat until comes to a simmer.
    Cover, turn town heat and continue to simmer for
    20 - 25 minutes or until rice is cooked.
    Mix the sugar and egg together in a small bowl.
    Slowly stir about 1 c. of the hot mixture into the yolk mixture.
    Then stir into the rest of the rice mixture.
    Add vanilla and continue to cook until thickened.
