List of Ingredients
1 c. salad oil, one with a light flavor would be best
1 egg OR 2 egg yolks
2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice OR 2 tbsp. white vinegar
salt
pepper
paprikaRecipe
Beat the egg choice until slightly thick.
Add 1 tsp. of the oil at a time and beat well after each addition, until 1/3 c. has been added.
Add a few drops of the lemon or vinegar and blend well.
The mixture should be quite thick and perfectly smooth.
(If it isn't you added the oil too quickly or it wasn't beaten enough).
Continue to add the oil and lemon alternately until it is all used.
Add the salt, pepper and paprika to your taste.
Store covered in the refrigerator.
