    Cucumber Salad, German style

    1 1/2 cups peeled cucumbers, thinly sliced
    1 small to medium onion, thinly sliced
    1 medium tomato, sliced thinly
    1 sweet green bell pepper, thinkly sliced

    for marinade:
    4 Tablespoons oil
    3 Tablespoons white vinegar
    1 teaspoon granulated white sugar
    1/4 teaspoon grouond paprika
    salt (omit if using garlic salt)
    ground black pepper
    1/4 tsp. garlic salt (or) 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
    prsley flakes for color

    Combine cucumbers and onions together.
    Salt well and let stand.
    Mix marinade together in a bowl.
    Rinse cucumbers and onions before adding other
    ingredients and marinade.
    Toss to blend flavors and refrigerate.
