    Source of Recipe

    Recipe Introduction

Really good. Use dipping sauces with this...steak, blue cheese, honey barbeque, ranch, sour cream...whatever tickles your tummy.

    List of Ingredients

2 lb. boneless steak, 1/4" thick and cut into thin strips
    ...(approximately 10 slices)
    salt and pepper
    1 tbsp. olive oil
    1 halved + sliced onion
2 1 lb. each frozen bread dough loaves, thawed
1 12oz. jar roasted red peppers, cut into strips
1 8oz. pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 egg yolk
    1 tbsp. water

    Recipe

Preheat oven to 350. Need ungreased baking sheet.
Over a med/high heat, using a heavy skillet, heat oil.
Add onion and cook 5 - 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender.
    Remove from pan.
Sprinkle steak slices with salt and pepper.
Cook steak slices in batches until just browned, about 2 minutes per side.
Roll 1 loaf of bread on a lightly floured surface to a 12x16" rectangle.
Place half of steak slices on dough to within 2" of sides.
Top with half of roasted peppers, half of cheese and half of onions.
Fold short ends up over topping. On the long side, fold/roll up in 1/3's, sort of jellyroll style.
Place on a baking sheet, seam side down.
Combine egg yolk and water. Brush half over sandwich log.
Repeat with other loaf and rest of ingredients.
Bake until crust is golden brown; about 25 minutes.
Cut into slices and serve with sauces for dipping.
