    Good served over biscuits, toasts, or waffles.

    List of Ingredients




    1 lb. good flavored, (seasoned), sausage
    flour
    about 1 quart whole milk
    ground poultry seasoning or sage
    salt
    pepper

    Recipe



    Brown the sausage.
    Do NOT drain.
    Add enough flour to cover the sausage, stirring constantly.
    Be sure the sausage is covered with flour, keep stirring and scraping the bottom of the pan.
    Slowly add the milk, stirring constantly until the gravy gets to the right consistency.
    Reduce the heat to a simmer and let simmer for at least 30 minutes, so the gravy takes on the sausage flavor.
    Stir occasionally, or it will scorch easily.
    Season with the poultry seasoning, salt and pepper to taste.
