    Sweet + Sour Sauce #4

    2 Tablespoons cornstarch
    1/2 cup pineapple juice
    1/2 cup granulated white sugar
    1/2 cup vinegar
    2 Tablespoons soy sauce
    2 Tablespoons sherry
    2 Tablespoons catsup or tomato sauce

    Dissolve the cornstarch in pineapple juice. Set aside.
    Combine the sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, sherry and catsup in a heavy
    saucepan and bring to a boil.
    Slowly add cornstarch mixture, to avoid lumps, stirring constantly
    until the sauce thickens.
