This sauce is perfect with bread pudding, apple dumplings or whatever else you want it for.
List of Ingredients
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. water
2 tbsp. butter
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 pinch salt
Recipe
Combine sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan.
Add water and stir well.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium, stirring constantly or until mixture thickens.
Remove from heat.
Add the butter, vanilla, and salt, stirring until butter melts.
Makes 10 servings or 1 cup.
