    Savory Salt Substitute Mix

    List of Ingredients

    1 tbsp. black pepper
    1 tbsp. celery seeds
    1 tbsp. onion powder
    2 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 1/2 tsp. powdered orange peel
    1 1/2 tsp. arrowroot
    1 1/2 tsp. sugar or sugar substitute
    3/4 tsp. sour salt (powdered citric acid)
    1/2 tsp. white pepper
    1/2 tsp. dill weed
    1/2 tsp. dried crumbled thyme
    1/4 tsp. plus a pinch of powdered lemon peel
    1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper

    Recipe

    Place all the ingredients in a small grinder or blender.
    Grind for 10 seconds or until the mixture is fine.
    Insert a funnel in the top of your salt shaker.
    Pour the mixture into it and tap the funnel lightly to get all the mixture off the funnel.
    Cover the remainder of the mixture tightly and store it in a cool, dark, dry place.
    Makes about 1/2 cup.
