    List of Ingredients




    2 tbsp. butter
    1 med. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped leftover ham
    3 c. shredded cabbage
    1/4 c. chopped cabbage
    3 c. water
    2 c. diced potatoes
    1 14 1/2oz. can evaporated milk
    ...or sweetened condensed milk
    fresh minced parsley, if desired

    Recipe



    Melt the butter in a small stockpot.
    Add the onion and cook slowly until golden.
    Add the ham, cabbage, water, and potatoes.
    Simmer for 15 - 20 minutes, or until the cabbage and potatoes are cooked to desired tenderness.
    Add the milk and let reheat, but do not boil.
    Serve sprinkled with minced parsley.
    Makes 6 servings.
