    This winning soup is served at the Morning Glory Inn, South Side. The soup was also voted runner-up for the People's Choice Award. Enjoy and accept compliments for the easiest chilled soup you'll ever make.

    Strawberry Soup #1

    1 1/2 pounds frozen strawberries (almost thawed)
    1/4 cup vanilla yogurt
    1 pint heavy cream
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla

    Place strawberries in blender and puree until smooth.
    Add yogurt and blend. Pour strawberry mixture into
    large bowl. Add cream and vanilla and stir until blended.
    Chill.
    To serve:
    Place 1/3 cup soup into a rimmed soup bowl. Garnish with
    a thin slice of fresh strawberry and a mint sprig.

    Strawberry Soup #2

    1 lb fresh strawberries, cleaned and hulled
    2 Tbs powdered confectioners icing sugar
    1 cup plain yogurt
    1/2 cup of heavy cream

    Slice the strawberries and place in a bowl. Sprinkle
    with the confectioners sugar. Leave to sit for about
    2 hours in a cool place.
    Remove 1/2 cup of the sliced strawberries and reserve.
    Mix the yogurt and cream into the bowl of strawberries.
    Either puree in a food processor or pass through a sieve.
    Serve with the reserved strawberry slices and a sprig
    of mint.
    Makes 4 servings.
