    Recipe Introduction

#1 - Soda Pop Bottle Butterflies #2 - Soda Pop Bottle Baskets #3 - Soda Pop Bottle Birdhouse

    List of Ingredients

You choose the design of your butterfly and the colors.
#1 - Soda Pop Bottle Butterflies

    you will need:
2 litre soda pop bottles, washed and dried
    scissors
    a corkboard
    butterfly pattern
    dimensional fabric paint
magnet or suction cup or popsicle sticks

    cut out the part
of the bottle the label is on, pin it down on corkboard with the
pattern of a butterfly. Paint the
design on the plastic and allow to dry over night, remove from
corkboard, allow continuing to dry and maintain its curve, cut out the
pattern (picture) and bend back the wings.
Use magnet on the backside of the body to hang on the fridge or tack it up, or stick
on a suction cup and hang in the window or glue to a Popsicle stick
    and stick in a plant.

#2 - Soda Pop Bottle Baskets

Cut the bottom off approx. 4 to 4 1/2 inches from the bottom. Take
a hole puncher and punch holes all around the cut end of the bottom.
Use any color yarn and crochet all around the edge by putting 1 row of
2 half-double crochet stitches in each hole and then the next row
should be two double crochet stitches in each half-double crochet
stitch. The next row is the finishing row and will be a single crochet
stitch in each double crochet stitch. I like to use white for this row
to set off the other color of yarn I used. Weave in your ends and
crochet a handle. Attach the handle on each side on the inside of your
stitches going around and you have a cute basket. It makes a cute
little Easter basket or valentine's basket. I make them for the kids
in my daughter's class at school.

Take your 2-liter bottle and cut a med size hole in one of the
sides. Just below the bigger hole take a small piece of a dowel rod
and put it in a smaller hole making sure it fits snug. Put some cotton
or some kind of bedding and you have an instant birdhouse. You can
paint the outside of the bottle if you like using a non-toxic type
waterproof paint. You may also put a lid over the top by putting a
plastic coffee can lid centered on to the pop bottle top. Be sure to
leave the top on the bottle to help keep the roof stable and the
    inside dry as possible.
