    Source of Recipe

there are 2 tips, so they are listed below with contributors

    List of Ingredients

This one is from alicia's kitchen's original message board.

Adding 2 tablespoons of white vinegar
    per quart of water
    before boiling
    prevents the eggs from cracking.
The egg shells will also peel off faster and easier.

    Recipe

This one is from patb, a tdj newsletter reader

This is a quick and easy way to peel hard cooked eggs.
Leave the eggs, in the pan they were cooked in.
    Drain the cooking water off.
Place the pan's lid on and
    s h a k e t h e p a n v i g o r o u s l y.....
You will hear the eggs smashing against each other
And the sides of the pan. When the smashing egg shells
    sound stops, remove the lid.
Remove the eggs from the loose strips of broken egg
shells. Rinse to remove any bits of clinging shell.
