Recipe Introduction

This is mildly abrasive. To make it more abrasive, add additional whiting, a teaspoon at a time. Cleaner - Scouring Cleanser

1/2 cup soap flakes or liquid soap
2 teaspoons borax
1 1/2 cups hot water
2 to 5 teaspoons whiting


Mix soap, borax and water in a large plastic bowl until the soap and borax are dissolved.
Add 2 to 5 teaspoons whiting, checking the consistency and degree of abrasiveness after each teaspoon added.
Pour into a squeeze top container.

KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN.

To use, shake well.
Squeeze some of the cleanser onto a sponge and wipe down what you want to clean.
Rinse well and dry.
For heavily soiled areas, squeeze the cleanser directly onto the spot or stain and let it remain for 30 minutes.
Scrub, rinse, and repeat if necessary.
