    Gardening - Protecting Seedlings

    To protect newly sprouted seedlings from earwigs,
    slugs and snails:

    Remove the label and cap from a 2 liter juice or soda bottle.
    Cut the bottom off. Be sure to recycle the discarded plastic pieces.
    Place the bottle over the top, encircling, the plant seeding.
    When the seedling gets too big for the bottle; just cut off the top, leaving the stalk of the plant still protected.

    Sunlight gets in and keeps it still keeps the bugs off.
